Introduction/T-Shirts!

Hey there Jack E. Singley Academy class of 2015! I'm your class secretary Eli Lucero. This is the first post of our new blog. I set out to create this in order to keep the class informed over new events as quickly as possible and with a tool that allows the officers to extrapolate more on our intentions (which a 140 character tweet doesn't allow us to do). I intend to write here at least weekly just to let you guys know what's going on, answer any needed questions, and to get feedback from you guys, the Class of 2015.

And speaking of answering questions, I'd like to take the time to answer a big one for many of you: T-Shirt orders. I know many of you may be confused about exactly what is going on with Class of 2015 t-shirts. Over 3 weeks ago we had the Class of 2015 vote on T-shirt designs that were submitted by our peers. At the end of the week the fantastic class of 2015 etched shirt by The Individuals team won first place and became the first design we began hard work on. We had to do a lot of work to both maintain the great design you guys voted on in the first place while also making the design feasible in terms of money and print quality. Over the last week we have worked hard with The Individuals team to create the final design that accomplishes both of these while also making changes that were commonly requested by you guys (such as having both a front and a back to the design). Below I will show images of the new, revamped, front and back while highlighting some questions you all may have.

BACK:

Questions you may have:

Why did you move the front of the shirt to the back?

A: A lot of feedback we received from the class informed us that many people already believed the design was originally on the back and were disappointed to hear the it was actually the front. Due to this the original design is moved to the back while maintaining a bold place there.

What happened to the sleeves?

A: Believe me - we loved the idea of having sleeves too. But having a design on both sleeves would have driven the price of the shirt way up and it is a priority of ours to provide you guys affordable shirts while still being able to raise money for our class. Most of the feedback we received placed more emphasis on having both a front and back rather than a sleeve.

Will all 4 colors still be available?

A: Yes! We made sure we were able to keep the different color choices. The images below will show you what the back of the shirt will look like in each color.

Thank you guys for bearing with us through the confusion and we hope we were able to meet most people's expectations. I know we can't please absolutely everyone but it is our hopes that the majority of you like these changes! We apologize for all the chaos and hopefully this new form of communication allows us to express information and ideas to you more efficiently.
